I'm Jan Moore, a licensed professional counselor in the state of Mississippi. I was employed at a local inpatient recovery for four years and helped many wonderful people struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. I have now opened my own private practice in Hattiesburg. My husband and I have lived in the Hattiesburg/Petal area since 1984. We have two children, one who is the manager/co-owner of the family bike shop and one who is deceased. I enjoy reading, studying, volunteering, and stained glass work. At Journeys Counseling Center, we offer individual, couples, family, and group counseling for adults aged 18+. Telehealth services are also available when deemed appropriate by the counselor and if permitted/covered by insurance. You can schedule an intake session or a free 15-minute consult on our website. Once established as a client, you can also schedule/reschedule appointments online or through our easy-to-use client portal. There's even an app available for smart phone users. Both insurance and self-pay clients are welcomed. We currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, UMR, Cigna, Medicare Part B, Optum, and others. Please call us to verify coverage if your insurance is not listed. Fees listed at the bottom of the website are applicable for out-of-network clients and those paying out-of-pocket or not filing to insurance.
